Last Saturday I had a sibling session in South Orange County at the San Clemente pier. You couldn't ask for better weather! The session itself was a bit of a challenge but we worked it out and [I believe] produced some beautiful images. ;) I wanted to post a couple non traditional "portraits" because these are often my session favorites.

I had sessions with 3 absolute beauties today! I still have a couple of sessions from last weekend to edit so I can only post a few favorites until I process more. ;)
You may remember Miss G from our photo shoot last Fall. Today we had a Spring session for photos for our new marketing materials. The theme is "Play" and we had such a fun time!
The second set of photos is of Baby J. You may remember her newborn photos. She's four months already!!
The last two favorites here are of Baby E. She is three weeks old and so full of cuteness it made my ovaries hurt. ;) Seriously, how sweet is she?? I just love babies yawning too.. hehe! Reminds me of puppies. 
Oh my gosh, isn't he just the CUTEST chubby baby EVER!? Time flies doesn't it? Seems like just yesterday we were doing his newborn session and it's been 9 months already! I can't wait to do his 1st birthday photos. :)
♥ Good week so far (my work week started Sunday). Beautiful weather here and so much I'm loving about this place right now it's hard to believe it's the same place I loathe in the Summer.
♥ March is shaping up to be a busy month. If you would like to schedule a session we have a few remaining spots available for the month and are now scheduling for April.
Ohmygoodness, talk about a crazy week! Murphy's Law at it's best - new schedule to adjust to, teen issues, car issues, hurt back... I'll elaborate on the latter.
In 2004 I threw out my back when lowering a folded load of laundry to the couch. I was 21 - not typically an age in which such a thing happens. It was a miserable experience. Since then I've had to be very careful about the way I strain myself - not an easy feat with a career as a full time nanny to young ones, let me tell you. I've lived with manageable pain off on on these past years taking pain meds when necessary and visiting a chiropractor a couple of times. It's been a while since I've carried a kid on my hip and so I think I got out of the mindset of how to do things just so.
About three weeks ago I was horsing around with my current (5 year old) charge and I lifted her up in the air with my arms outstretched. Just lifting wouldn't have strained my back alone but the arms outstretched did. It hurt right away but not terribly bad and nothing ibuprofen and a heat pack couldn't fix that night.
Then this last Tuesday evening we were loading the family in the car including our newest member and when I went to lower her into her carrier she wriggled and to keep her from falling I threw my arms forward resulting in a shot of pain through my back. Needless to say I need to be

I spent much of the following couple of days in bed because even sitting was quite painful. I'm almost 1oo% back to normal which is a good thing with the busy week ahead.
So why the happy photo?? Because, it's March! March is my most favorite month of the year. March is happy with birthdays galore (including my 25th!), Spring, and beautiful weather here in Southern California. As for Love, Joleen - we'll be debuting all new marketing materials by the end of the month and I could not be more excited! Fun times, friends. Happy March!

Just a quick post here.. I've got a SUPER busy couple of weeks but I'll try to stop by when I can. This gorgeous little one is my new charge. :) We've been spending lots of time together lately. Her mommy wants lots of new fabulous photos to display so today we had the first of a few scheduled sessions. I haven't edited the session yet but I thought I'd share a favorite and a couple of silly ones I love. :) Lettin' kiddos have a little fun during a session is just the key to getting cooperation when you need it. ;)
I just *love* productive days and yesterday was the epitome of productive! This is probably boring as heck to most of you but I think it's pretty. LOL The hanging files in the document box here, hold copies of all important papers, including our welcome | information packet, model releases, portrait agreements, order forms, expense sheets, etc. I was good about keeping my paper work in the 2007 binder but had yet to start a new one for 2008.. eep! Yesterday I got everything printed and organized. I also finished creating our new Gallery Idea Book and I'm so thrilled with it. I think it's really going to help our clients visualize their portraits on a wall and give them lots of ideas for display!
