... to my Mom (who verbally pinky promised not to look at my blog until tomorrow when I've given her this gift) (and if you do look, Mom, you're in BIG trouble ;) )! I created this mini book using April's Studio Calico kit - which I love, love, love!! It was such a fun kit to work with and I'm looking forward to scrapping a few pages with it, too!
PS- View the book large, here.

...this shouldn't come to any surprise to you. :) I've been lucky to have time to scrapbook the last couple of days. Today I even had a friend over for brunch and scrappin'. This is some of what I've been working on. I bought that super fun red and white polka dot album today and jazzed it up with fun felt stickers for Peyton's pages. The titles in these layouts (other than "what a hoot") were stamped with clear stamps by Autumn Leaves. The last two pages were made with my new love, elsie products. *swoon*
ps- gah.. i hate that these get cut off on the right side. you can see the entire image by right clicking and selecting view image. hth.

We're on the way out the door to go to California Disney Adventure but I wanted to quickly share a couple digital layouts I created yesterday. Still gotta give the love there... so clean and still so fun! :) I think I'll print all my digi layouts soon so I can show you how they look in the album. Have a great day!

I really need to get a 12x12 scanner/printer, don't I? Ugh. I hate having to take photos of my pages because they always come out a wee bit wonky. The very first page I was able to scan because it's 8x8. The others are just a few of the pages I've done for someone else. I've been scrapping a lot and having a blast doing it. I love digi scrapping but nothing beats the real deal in my opinion! It's so fun putting the various elements together to achieve a certain aesthetic.

It has been a while since this blog has seen even a minor face lift. If you're wondering, I bought these festive digital elements on Two Peas. I don't know why but I am way into Halloween this year! My parents are hosting a Halloween party and we've definitely gotten into the spirit. I am going to be a "sexy" Strawberry Shortcake and my costume is so super cute!
I have been feeling all around festive these last few days and not just about Halloween. I had three mini holiday sessions this past weekend in which I edited the photos for today. I wish I could share even a sneak peek with you but I'm afraid I'd give away a "surprise" if they end up selecting that one for their holiday cards. Instead I bring you a photo of our stud, Spencer. :) I also got my creative juices flowing a bit today by creating this scrapbook page of him. Just click on it to see the larger version.
So along with the holiday sessions, I've been putting together samples of greeting cards for clients. I am partnering with the seriously talented Heather, whom, by the way, has debuted her website, Bluhm Studios. She has created completely unique cards especially for Love, Joleen clients and I can't wait to share them with you! And on that note, I wanted to announce that the last day for guaranteed holiday orders is November 2nd.

I have been itching to get in my studio all weekend. At the end of last week, between receiving the newest issue of Portals and purchasing a few really cool mixed media books/magazines - I've been totally inspired to get to work play. Since I am *incredibly* busy right now and really can't add making a big ol' mess, I've been playing digitally. One awesome thing about the printing company Love, Joleen Photography uses to print photographs is that they print in 12 x 12. This means I can completely design my scrapbook pages digitally and then print them out for my albums. I have the option to further embellish the printed version or leave it as is for the book. Not only that but how much money and resources am I saving doing it this way?! I can use my large collection of digital "papers" and elements over and over till my hearts content for free. Now that has Alex liking scrapbooking. ;)
