here are a few of my favorites from this morning's session. i could not be happier with these! thanks for trying my crazy ideas, girls! ;)
I notice I tend to read very deep, often depressing books about addiction, abuse, and death. Every now and again I choose a book that screams "chick lit" and am so rarely disappointed. Everyone loves a good laugh, love, and self deprecating wittiness. ;) I loved 20 Times a Lady by Karyn Bosnak! I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning to finish it last week - it was very entertaining! PS - her blog is so funny; read it. :)
Here is the synopsis:
"How many men does it take to find true love?
Delilah Darling's magic number was supposed to be twenty. She always thought she'd find the perfect guy by the time she'd slept with twenty of them. But when she wakes up naked in her disgusting boss's bed after a drunken night out, she's filled with regret -- and realizes she's hit her self-imposed limit. Unwilling to up her number but unable to imagine a life of celibacy, Delilah does what any girl in her situation would do: she tracks down every man she's ever slept with in a last-ditch effort to make it work with one of them.
A hilarious romp through Delilah's past loves, 20 Times a Lady proves that in the end, numbers don't matter. True love will come when you're open and ready to accept it."
Haha, just kidding with that title. I'm not that bad. Okay, well maybe I am. Just a little bit. ;) How could I not be??? Do you see that face?! Melts my heart.
So I promise my blog will not turn into an all out Peyton love fest but for now a few photos. The top photo is her first portrait. What a challenge this was! She would sit and look super cute but whenever I would back up a bit to get the shot she'd run toward me. Alex and I talked about a word we could use to train her for photos. "Smile" is out because I try not to even use this command on the kiddos. ;) Alex suggested "camera" or maybe "look"? Hmm.
The 2nd photo is something I like to call "baby got bite". Ouch do those little razor fangs hurt!
The last photo is obviously my sis, Jaydean, and Peyton snugglin' up. Everyone in this house loves the new addition but our Spencer. He's all about other dogs at the dog park, the kennel, or during walks, but in his home? I don't think so! He's not quite too sure what to think of her just yet but we'll see how it goes! She's stayin, Spencer. ;)
omg omg, what a wonderful surprise! i've been wanting a black female pug for a while now. we had plans to get one before christmas but it didn't work out. tonight my family and husband surprised me with an early birthday gift - isn't she SO cute?!? :) she's 8 weeks old and we've named her peyton. you'll be seeing a lot of her. ;)
Just a quick post here.. I've got a SUPER busy couple of weeks but I'll try to stop by when I can. This gorgeous little one is my new charge. :) We've been spending lots of time together lately. Her mommy wants lots of new fabulous photos to display so today we had the first of a few scheduled sessions. I haven't edited the session yet but I thought I'd share a favorite and a couple of silly ones I love. :) Lettin' kiddos have a little fun during a session is just the key to getting cooperation when you need it. ;)
