I could cry, I'm so happy. It's been a while since I've felt this way... excited about life. I'm trying to stay in the moment as much as possible. When I think about the journey ahead (in miles) and all that I need to do to get settled I get little overwhelmed and anxious. I was reminded today that it's not the destination but THE JOURNEY that matters! Ain't that the truth??
My visit with Heather has been amazing, like always! We've been really busy with Garlic Festival stuff and photo sessions (not complaining!!) so it was nice to have today "off". We went downtown to run a couple errands and stopped in the bakery for treats. I ate that lemon cupcake and it was yummy!! I had the hardest time deciding what I wanted but it did not disappoint. ;)

We headed over to check out a couple of shops - one, Serendipity (one of my fave words), had a lot of local (and national) artists' work and other gift items. I'm really hoping to kick Heather's butt into getting her AWESOME journals in there! I'll have to post some of the ones I've completed that she made - they are very inspiring to work in. Since the day I arrived I've been dying to go into this cute vintage inspired consignment shop called Tres Jolie. LOVED it!!! I wish I fit in that hot pink dress in the window because you know I would have snatched that up in a red hot minute! I did end up bringing home a top (which I trimed shorter to be a cute tank) and an awesome purple apron (pictured) that I wanted for a skirt! When we got back to the studio Heather stitched up the sides leaving a 4(ish) inch gap at the top to slip it on and I tie it on the side with a cute bow. I will definitely show you ASAP.
We did some last minute work putting together gift packs for the Garlic Festival, which starts tomorrow. I've never been to it and am looking forward to seeing what it's like. I have a true appreciation for all the hard work Heather does now, that's for sure! ;) I took a few product shots of their soap products, which smell SO GOOD!!

You may recall last week when I said I really
wanted to make a camera strap cover while here? Heather let me dig into her stash (love these fabrics!!) and we each made one for our cameras. I'm hoping she can get some photos of me shooting on Saturday. Hope all is well, friends! xoxo ♥
