A while back I was telling one of my "bosses" about a company that creates paintings out of hand and footprints. Parties are hosted where you can invite your friends and their children and select from a binder, which image you'd like for the final result. My last week working with the family she commissioned three such paintings from me. It was something I've never really done before (aside from the occassional handprint as tree leaves with my charges) and I was super excited about the challenge, not to mention much needed distraction! We discussed how we wanted to use their prints and went to the store to purchase all the supplies I'd need, keeping with the color scheme and theme (beach) of the kid's bathroom. I left their house with the supplies and each of the kids handprints, as well as a quick sketch of what I wanted to paint. Over the next week I worked on the paintings between packing and moving. The finishing touch was the sand - it looks so real! I am really pleased with how these turned out and can't wait to see how they looked framed on the wall! ♥
you pictures great too!!
